not sure I should spend the money on the PDX-F4 amplifier (loses the 5th sub amp) though when it might be overkill for my needs. The other amp I was looking at was the Alpine MRP-F300. PDX-F4 100 x 4 Class D amp with only line level inputs. 2 inches in height so will fit nice. Alpine MRP-F300 50 x 4 Class A/B amp with speaker level inputs too. 2 7/16 inches in height so the same as yours. The F300 is a good amplifier and half the cost but if i remember correctly Class D are more efficient and run cooler which would be the second factor in my choice. The last factor is that I will probably do my stereo in stages. Install my iPhone into the car and hook it directly to the amp using a the line out in the 30 pin dock connector. I am just not sure if I can hook it up to the line-level input of the PDX series amps or if I would need to attach it to the speaker level input only available on the Alpine MRP-F300 V series amp. What do you think? I will probably use one of these cables, La-Z-Link
